Ingredients
For the Onion Rings
- Onions (cut into 2.5 cm slices) 2
- Kosher Salt as needed
For Frying
- High Heat Oil (grapeseed, vegetable, canola) 1 ½ l
For the Batter
- Cake Flour 80 g
- Cornstarch 2 tbsp
- Baking Powder 1 tbsp
- Kosher Salt 2 tsp
- Light Beer 225 ml
For the Dusting
- Cake Flour 80 g

Cooking Steps Prep Cooking
Season the Onion
Add to a bowl, then toss the rings with salt and set aside. The salt will soften the onion resulting in a tender and well-seasoned onion ring.

Prepare the Probe
Insert the probe in the clip attached to the side of the pot making sure the tip doesn't touch the bottom.
Measure and Add the Oil
High Heat Oil(grapeseed, vegetable, canola) | 1 ½ liters |
1. Connect the Cookware
Turn the burner on and place the cookware on it. Tap the cookware twice until the symbol apears on the cooktop. Select Heating up and Frying and set the temperature to 176°C.
2. Mix the Batter
While the oil preheats, combine all of the batter ingredients in a bowl and whisk.

Light Beer | 225 ml |
3. Batter the Rings
Add 6-8 rings of onions in the extra cake flour then dip in the batter.

4. Add and Fry the Onion Rings
Add enough rings into the cookware to cover the surface without overcrowding, and fry for 1 minute and 30 seconds or until golden brown.
5. Flip and Finish Frying the Onion Rings
Flip the rings on their other side and continue frying for 1-2 more minutes or until golden brown.
6. Remove Onion Rings
Using tongs, carefully remove onion rings from the fryer to the sheet tray with a rack. Continue frying any remaining rings, then turn the burner off.
7. Season and Serve the Fried Onion Rings
Season onion rings with salt. Serve alongside your favorite condiments.
